Hi, I really like where you are going with this one. What kind of pencils do you use? If at all possible, pick up some Prismacolor when you can. They are kind of expensive as sets, but most art stores sell them individually and you can start adding to your collection. Also, do you have an electric sharpener, or are you even interested? It can really make a difference in your details. I use the Prismacolor along with coloured ultrafine Sharpies for brilliant colour. Keep up the good work.

Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.
thank you very much. this was done in my art 1 class with minimal supplies available. (gross crayola, broken sharpener, etc) i actually do own a set of prisma colors and adore them. i'll be posting a new piece fairly soon where i've put them to good use. they're much less harsh than the ones here.
Cheap stuff is fun to work with, because you don't feel pressured to create something absolutely fantastic. Of course, you went the extra mile and created something fantastic. Good on you. I must agree with everyone else here and say you have absolute mastery over color. I like the constant theme of circular shapes in this piece, and also how the focus is off-center. Like, a poem could be fitted into the blank there, but it's okay if it's not because either way it's very pleasent to look at. In conclusion, this is pretty.
Hm, you know, I think this pic would be presented better if you resized it so that it was smaller. I think having to scroll to see it takes away from it's simplicity (it's a more effective piece when we can see all that white space). Good design.

I really like this...the pencils may have been cheap but what you created is aweosme. I especially like all of that white space you have....and that you didn;t try and fill it with unneccessary stuff...beautiful
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
